Memory Walk 2016
Repeating her efforts last year, Inspec\'s Sue Cressey will be once again taking part in the Humber Bridge Memory Walk this September, with proceeds from her sponsorship going to the Alzheimer\'s Society.
Memory Walks take place throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with people of all ages and abilities taking part to raise money for this important charity.
The Humber Bridge is the longest bridge in the world that can be crossed on foot and Sue will be doing so twice - once each way - on her walk. The route covers six kilometres with the start and finish lines on the Hessle side. Participants walk up and over the bridge to the Humber\'s south bank before turning round and coming back.
Alzheimer\'s is a disease affecting 850,000 people in the UK and sadly that number is predicted to hit 1 million by 2025. Diagnosis can have a huge impact not just on the sufferer, but also on friends, loved ones and carers. The Alzheimer\'s Society offers help and support to all those affected and also funds vital research into the disease.
Last year Sue raised a considerable amount of money for the charity and is hoping to do even better this time, so if you would like to support the important work of the Alzheimer\'s Society but are unable to take part yourself, please consider sponsoring Sue via the link below.
