The need for proper design of process safety instrumented systems has become more accepted over the past 10 to 15 years and holding TUV accredited qualifications such as a Functional Safety Professional is relatively commonplace. Whereas the awareness around process safety has followed a steep curve in terms of demonstrable competence, the same cannot be said for the machinery safety sector where complacency is still prevalent. With the many hazardous machines in service this represents a significant risk to both individuals and those responsible for managing the risk.
Responding to client needs we are pleased to announce that we now have personnel qualified to the standard of “Certified Machinery Safety Expert” accredited by TUV Nord. Inspec have been delivering designs against the machinery directive and other relevant legislation for many years but recognised the need to gain this expert qualification as a demonstration of our commitment to skills development and give reassurance of our competency in this field.
The CMSE qualification sits alongside our other core competencies in Safety and accreditations as TUV engineers and professionals allowing us to offer safety compliant solutions across many industries and projects.
